We sure do like new brewing gear. And with brewing this is not limited to boilers, fermenters, pumps and other equipment, but tends to include ingredients, chemicals, hops, yeast, apps, and anything in between.
Some are a valuable addition, others can be more questionable. Fun none the less, but more fun than function.
Our latest addition is one of our own design, and self built as well. Craft beer, with crafted equipment. Mashing has always been a bit of a stressful part of the brewing, so to lighten the stress a stand was designed an built.
by the way, a mash tube can be quite heavy...
Will it make our beer better??
The direct answer is no, its never in contact with the beer.
The actual answer is yes. This has made the stressful part a breeze, so less mistakes are going to be made, thus leading to better beer. All these small elements add up, and also contribute to a consistent product.
Making a consistent beer is a big thing for us, so very pleased with the latest addition.
We have also invested in a conical steel fermenter, and the initial results are indeed promising.
